Update: I just wanted to let you know that I had some of my facts wrong regarding the Palm App Store. I spoke with a Palm representative today, and he let me know that the Palm App store isn't exactly a "new" store. The store is a refresh of their existing store. They have a new user interface and a new landing page and have added some new applications. So it's the same great app store, only better! ;-) Sorry for any confusion!
PocketGear, Inc. has launched a Palm App Store tonight just in time for the holidays. There are over 5,000 apps and games to download! And there are over 1,000 completely FREE apps! There are incredible apps such as Facebook, Nursing Central and Encyclopedia Brittanica, and awesome games like Pac-Man, Tetris, and Fish Tycoon.
You can download the free Palm App Store here.
More than 1,500 developers have already submitted apps to the Palm App Store -- developers can add their titles here.
Yep, the Software Store has gone mobile. The mobile software store supports over 25 Palm devices, from the Centro to the Treo Pro.
All of this is just a click away - install the free mobile software store and choose from thousands of apps ready to download now! You'll also receive 25% OFF your first download when you enter coupon code SHOPMOBILE at checkout.
You can download the mobile software store for Windows Mobile and the mobile software store for Palm OS by ACCESS.
Once you've downloaded the store app, an icon appears on your Home screen, my Centro screen as seen in the pic above. And once launched, the Palm App Store is nice, but it's just a web version of the store and comes up on Blazer. You can see the Home screen next to the icon pic above.
Below are some screenshots I took on my Centro after loading up the app store and looking through the different categories, such as Top Apps, Featured, Search, and more...
