Treo now available with plans from AT&T Wireless

Mon Jun 16, 2003 - 9:51 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

AT&T Wireless is the last of the three major US GSM providers offering service plan activation through Handspring's website. While the Treo 270 has always been able to work on AT&T's GSM network, until now that has come with a quite high price tag: A Treo 270 without a service contract costs close to $700!

Things are different now: AT&T Wireless is offering some great deals when you buy a Treo 270 and either activate a new voice and data service plan or upgrade from an existing plan.

- $399 for new and current AT&T Wireless customers
- $299 with a 10MB ($29.99/month) data feature (new AT&T Wireless customers only)
- $249 with 20MB ($39.99/month) data feature (new AT&T Wireless customers only)

To sweeten the deal, free shipping is also included.

This is a very positive development for Handspring, as they now have carrier relationships with all three major US GSM carriers.
