Camera-Less Treo 600 Available through Sprint

Thu May 27, 2004 - 1:06 AM EDT - By Michael Ducker

As discussed on this thread, Sprint is now offering a camera-less version of the Treo 600 through their enterprise sales channels. TreoCentral users are reporting that Sprint sales representatives have this new device in their database, though details are still unknown. TreoCentral has also confirmed the existence of this Treo with our own sources. We first reported on the rumor of a camera-less treo back in early march.

While pricing has yet to be disclosed, the hardware of this Treo should be the same as current Treo 600 hardware, except for the lack of a camera. Minor software changes have been reported, but this may not be more then the removing the camera software from the firmware.

We have requested more info about this new Treo from both Sprint and PalmOne. We will bring updates, including photos, as soon as we can.

On Tuesday, June 8th, Sprint officially announced this device.
