I won't argue the point that the Vaja i-volution Caddie case is expensive. At a base price (with no options) of $155.00, after you tack on shipping, this is one of the most expensive Treo cases out there. If you're happy with a $20.00 - $30.00 skin case or plastic case or what other mfrs. call "Nappa" leather which is actually sheepskin, then this wallet-busting case isn't for you.
Nothing's perfect, and I'd like to see them make an i-volution with a removable lid, or at least some way to plug my charging cable in with the lid closed.
Is this case a guy thing or a gal thing? Hard to say. I'll leave that verdict up to you. It's neither "frilly" nor "macho." But I can't imagine anyone who would turn up their nose at you if you ordered one of these for them as a gift.
To me, Vaja's new i-volution Caddie case is both utilitarian, AND a work of art. I've been lucky enough to own a few Vaja cases, and I think no one can top their quality, design, or class. The fit and finish are flawless. Yeah, it makes your Treo quite a bit fatter, due to its thick leather-over-plastic shell design. Yeah, the whole top of the phone is exposed, but the case is very snug, all the cut-outs are perfect and the aroma of that wonderful genuine cowhide leather is just magnificent. The Rolls Royce of Treo cases? I vote yes.
