Palm and Sprint will hold a press conference this afternoon in New York, and TreoCentral's Dieter Bohn is on location to provide a hands-on report.
Update from Dieter:
The teaser site is notable if only for some of the apparent surprises it has in store. First off, the Centro has "Treo" branding on it, contrary to previous reports that this smartphone would be dropping the popular brand name.
The name of the site also gives some hints as to the target market for the Centro (or the "Treo Centro," or the "Centro, Revenge of the Treo," or whatever it will be called). It's called "More Yous" and it asks if you ever wished there were "more of you." The site then emphasizes email, IM, MP3s "to soothe you as you climb the ladder," bluetooth, DocsToGo, and the Calendar. In short - it seems to emphasize the traditional Treo features and it seems to be aiming at young professionals. This author had thought it would be aiming at an even younger market, but apparently not.
The Centro looks to come in a bright, shiny red and a more subdued black.
More after the event!
