Microsoft re-releases Entourage X conduit

Mon Aug 26, 2002 - 10:37 PM EDT - By James Hromadka

Microsoft has released its Handheld Synchronization for Entourage X once again. The 716 KB .bin file requires Palm Desktop X and Office v. X SP1.

You may recall that Microsoft released -- then pulled -- the software last month after numerous reports of data corruption from many users, including yours truly. I am trying to migrate away from Entourage to the Mail.app that comes with Mac OS 10.2, so I have not personally given the revised conduit a whirl. Make sure you backup your Palm User directory before trying it out, as it made a real mess of my calendar the last time.

Also, for Treo & Visor owners who are awaiting official Handspring support, I hear that "it is coming very, very soon." Hopefully the support will come by the time Apple releases iSync next month.
