A company from the 404 called Ergonomic Solutions has put together some Valentines Day fun a freeware application called Mobile Cupid. They claim this application was designed for the Pink Palm Centro, but I found it worked fine on my shiny Black Centro.
Mobile Cupid was designed to let you flash messages across a room via your Centros display screen in letters that are large enough to be seen from a distance.
The first one I tried was probably the best one: I heart U
It consisted of I then the heart symbol then Ujust 3 flashes to get your message across.
The other options: "Your Cute, [sic] "Kiss Me," and Be Mine all end with a heart.
The thing is, the message is spelled out letter by letter. With the other messages being 7-9 letters long, it sort of feels like a Sesame Street exercise. Not to mention the fact that if the person you are flashing has a short attention span, you may lose them altogether.
That being said, I recommend you stick with the I heart U message.
It works well with the touch screen. But dont expect it to be optimized for the D-pad. You can download it at the following link:
According to Craig Lombardi, developer and product manager at Ergonomic Solutions, this application can be beamed to other Centro or Palm OS Treo smartphones. He also noted that his company offers a non-freeware advanced flasher program called Mobile SHOUT that works the same way, but lets users type in their own customized messages.
