Doc Searls & Conclusion

James Hromadka and Doc SearlsOn Saturday morning, the speaker was Doc Searls -- Senior Editor, Linux Journal and a well known and respected UNIX guru. He offered some very interesting perspectives on identity on the Internet and the right way to do it. He is co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto, which at some point I now need to pick up.

Microsoft is going after the mobile phone market in a big way. It will be interesting to see how Handspring, Nokia, Ericsson, and other mobile phone companies respond to these new Pocket PC products. Whatever happens, one thing is for sure: now is a good time to be looking for a new mobile phone.

Later this week I will have an article on how I used technology on my trip to Seattle.
