Getting Ready

Once again I found myself sitting impatiently waiting for a flight to end. This time the flight was to Redmond, where I would be attending Microsoft's Mobius 2002 symposiom. See my Mobius 2002 article for the skinny on that. This article focuses on the trip itself and how technology helped -- or hindered -- the experience.

Mobius 2002 would be a 4 day trip and I made it a point to pack light this time. The following items made it into my bags:Now if you have read my other travel articles (especially the ones on VisorCentral), you know that I always manage to forget something. This time it was an ethernet cable for the hotel's wonderful broadband connection. Sigh. Fortunately, the Bellevue Club Hotel had a spare. Friday morning, I discovered something else I had forgotten -- deodorant.

D'oh! Thankfully, the hotel had some deodorant that I could buy. In case you're wondering, that is a Microsoft Trackball Explorer on the table that I bought for my wife and a Pocket PC Phone Edition that Microsoft gave to me.
