There are plenty of ways to keep tabs on what's going on in Vancouver. In fact, it has been said that this Winter Olympics will be huge from a social media standpoint. The focus of this post is to cover options for following the Games from a mobile.
Handmark has a FREE app that runs on Windows Mobile PPC called

Another way to keep tabs on what's going on in Vancouver is to point your browser here. It puts you on a page that lists events and then uses Google Maps to show you where the event will be taking place.
I ran an experiment using my Palm Pre's web browser. While I could load the page, I couldn't get any of the cool features on the desktop to work. I found the option of sending my Pre a text message that included the following link http://google.com/games10/m . That loads a mobile optimized page, but no Google Map. It's possible that Google has optimized for their platform first (Android). ComputerWorld had a story about it.

Yahoo! has launched a grassroots program in Vancouver this week to get people to go to Yahoo to keep up with the games. Besides the venue, the company will run advertising on its portal and on Facebook to promote its involvement in the games and its coverage of events. Go to this page for details. You can enter your mobile number and get a link sent to you. Or, type m.yahoo.com/olympics into your mobile's web browser.
Yahoo! provides the following:
> View event schedules: Check the schedule of events to make sure you catch the action that interests you.
> Count the medals: Keep up-to-date on the medal count and see how your favorite countries and athletes are doing throughout the games.
> Track the record setting events: Get live updates of both world and Olympic record-breakers.
> Get news and expert coverage: View Olympic news, blogs, and expert commentary.

It will be interesting to see if results are available in real time. It is well known that NBC is forcing West Coast viewers to see events delayed.
