eMarketer has reported some interesting mobile coupon trends.
>> According to a study from mobile campaign services provider miBuys, women may be more eager than average to receive discounts on their phones.
>> This contrasts with a Honeywell survey from last December where 71% said they would not participate in any mobile couponing activities, including receiving, storing or sharing coupons in the mobile channel.
miBuy's survey was based on speaking with those who were already visitors to mobile shopping and promotions channels. This group seemed to appreciate the convenience.
The eMarketer story showed the breakdown of the types of mobile coupons women preferred.
This is a trend worth watching for men and women.
