Reader WeeBitObsessed is reporting that a T-Mobile CSR told him that "beginning October 27th T-Mobile will begin supporting the Treo 600 device. At this time you will only be able to purchase this device through Handspring"
Gleend
writes that "I just spoke with a CSR in T-Mo wireless data and he confirmed that
Monday, October 27 is the "PLANNED" launch date for the GSM 600!!! He said that
their information system had just been updated (less than 30 minutes ago) and
that I was the third person who had called inquiring about the 600. He said that
the 600 will be available ONLY through HS on the 27th. He did not know when it
would be available in T-Mo retail outlets."
However, another reader reports that their T-Mobile source claims that the 600
won't be released until "the 3rd week in November, I just spoke to product
manager and there is no change."
Like the Treo 270 launch, it is possible that the Treo 600 GSM will appear on Handspring's site first, and later on T-Mobile's website.
No word yet if the 600 GSM will be available as an unlocked phone, and on Cingular and AT&T availability.
