Adios Palm!

Sun Feb 13, 2011 - 12:21 PM EST - By Annie Latham

It was noted by a few reporters, like Will Greenwald of PC Magazine, how the new webOS smartphones are missing the Palm logo.

John Paczkowski of All Thing's D made an Oldsmobile reference.

He remarked, "Judging from Wednesday's event, the storied Palm brand isn't even a sub-brand of HP. It's just a handle for a particular division of the company, though HP insists it's keeping it around."

Gone but not forgotten, here's a slideshow PC Magazine assembled, titled "R.I.P. Palm: A History of the Brand that Changed Smartphones and PDAs Forever."
