NYT article on the Treo 650

As the Palm Sways

The New York Times has an article by David Pogue called "The Awkward Smartphone Grows Up." Pogue highlights the teething problems that the Treo 650 had when it was released and the challenges that PalmOne has yet to conquer: WiFi compatibility, improved Bluetooth functionality, and up-and-comers like BlackBerry. He also mentions the identity crisis that PalmOne has gone through and likens it to a soap opera.

Pogue then goes on to praise the Treo 650 on all its features that TreoCentral readers know and love: "The Treo looks great, too, and its smooth, solid-feeling body feels great in your hand. It's much more compact than a BlackBerry, too, so people will be much less likely to think you're talking into a Pop-Tart."

It is a nice article for people that are considering the Treo and have heard about some if its problems. You can discuss the article here.
