Product Info

Screenshot on PalmThe principal behind SyncTalk is a good and simple one. SyncTalk aims to bring the simplicity of beaming data between two handhelds to ALL handhelds. That means you should be able to beam information not just between two PalmPilots, but also between a PocketPC and Palm, a WindowsCE Laptop and a Psion EPOC Clamshell, and any combinations thereof. Sounds like a great application, right? Sounds like the perfect combination of function and form, right? Ah, were it only that easy!

When I heard about SyncTalk 2.0 for Palm, I assumed it would be a no-brainer. Of course I need this functionality, who doesn't? We all know how incredibly easy it is to exchange data between PalmPilots, why shouldn't I be able to exchange information with other devices? I figured I'd get this application and tell the world about it, since I clearly can't live without this functionality. Wrong.

Well, let me start at the beginning. SyncTalk has applications available for the following list of platforms. You can beam (Infrared) between any combination of them.

  • PalmOS 3.0 and greater
  • Windows CE 3.0 - PocketPC
  • EPOC (Psion Series)
  • H/PC 2.11 Professional Edition - large and small screen
  • Windows CE 2.0 and greater - Palm-sized PC
