Overview

Not everyone wears a belt. Sometimes I forget to wear one when I'm in a hurry, and a belt with shorts just looks stupid here in Texas. Whether at home or on the go, the PP6 Party Pouch Case keeps the Treo close to your heart.

Usability

When I first saw the Party Pouch, I thought it was pretty silly. I've never been a fan of neck lanyards—heck I only got my first necklace a few months ago as a gift from a friend. As I figured, you really feel the weight of the Treo when you first put on the Party Pouch. You won't be doing much partying, as the Treo hangs about 14" and will swing and bounce around easily.

Where I did find the Party Pouch convenient is while doing things around the house. I am one of those people that moves around constantly while on the phone, and when I'm at home I'm usually not wearing a belt. I could do laundry, clean the house, etc. and not have to worry about remembering to grab the Treo while running upstairs or downstairs for something.

If a call comes in, you must have slide the Treo up some in order to answer it on the Treo 650 because the action button on its left side sometimes gets pressed in because of the case. You can then slide the Treo back in the case and continue the call if desired. You can keep the lanyard around your neck and still lift the Treo to your ear, though it feels weird though and teeters on strangling, so I just take the lanyard off at some point in the call. A better solution for receiving calls is to use a Bluetooth headset that autoconnects to the Treo. Then you never have to touch the Treo or Party Pouch to answer a call.

The Party Pouch comes in two colors: white or black. The white one is more striking and matches the iPod, which fits in the case as well.

I think the Party Pouch's name is its biggest detriment. It would have been better to call it "Lanyard Case" or something that doesn't make you feel like an idiot when telling someone about it. Even "Treo-on-a-rope" would have been an improvement.
