Amazon recently put up a preorder page for the Treo 680. When you add the 680 to your cart you're promised that it will ship in 1-2 weeks. Price: $413.99. That is one weird price, if you ask me. Unless details like ASIN and Item Model Number are of interest to you, there's not a lot more to say.
As was widely reported last week, the Treo 680 was approved by the FCC, paving the way for an imminent release. At the Digital Life conference a month ago we were told we could expect the 680's release 'within a month.' Well, we're a little beyond that now, but with any luck we should see the 680 popping up for sale officially on Palm's site very soon.
As TreoCentral has previously reported, it is expected that those looking for fancy-colored 680s will need to buy the unlocked versions directly from Palm. Presumably this Amazon preorder is for the graphite version.
Thanks to Treonauts for the tip!)
