As you read yesterday, Palm announced that they will be holding an "invitation only" press event at the CES in Las Vegas on January 8th.

Yep, Palm will be ringing in the new year with something really Big. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to attend that event and be one of the first to find out the big news? Well, one person will get that opportunity because Palm is going to send one lucky Facebook fan on a trip to Las Vegas as their guest from January 7-10, 2009. So whoever wins will get to be one of the first to be in on Palm's well-kept secret.

The cartoon below also has a secret. Notice the missing dialog in the last frame? Well that missing dialog is the ticket to your winning a trip to Palm's special event.

How the contest works:

1. First, you have to be a fan of the Palm Facebook page.
2. Then, you need to submit a final line of dialog that completes the last frame of the comic strip (in 50 words or less). Your dialog submission should convey (in a humorous way) something about the state of mobile communications. Submit your dialog, along with your first and last name, email address, date of birth and Facebook profile url to [email protected] by December 17, 2008. Limit one entry per person.
3. The entries will be judged on humor/originality, clarity of expression (including spelling and grammar), relevance to broader Palm community, and relevance to contest theme and the 10 top-scoring entries will become finalists.
4. Then you, your family and friends can vote on a winner from December 20-29 on the Palm Facebook page.
5. Be ready to pack your bags if Palm calls you in January because you'll be heading to Vegas!

Sounds like fun! I can't wait to read all the dialog finalist entries! I know you all can come up with some good ones. ;-)
