I just read over at tgdaily that a new mobile software company iqzone has announced what it is calling the first mobile service for "broadcasting and searching classified ads from mobile phones."
The mobile classified service lets you take a picture of something with your cell phone camera and automatically insert it into a template for a mobile advertisement that can be seen by other cell phone users.
Your phone will have to have a web browser and of course our Treos have that. It's easy, it's FREE, and you can create your own ad in 60 seconds.
Here are the steps:
- Step One: Snap a picture or video with your camera phone
- Step Two: Create a multimedia mesage with text appeal including description, price, and location (Zip or City/State).
- Step Three: iqzone's intelligent agent will classify your item and broadcast your ad to the universe of online and print classifieds.
This looks like it could be fun. I see that someone has recently created their own classified ad and they're selling a Treo for $200. I took the pic from their ad and put it in a photo of a Treo 680 so maybe this is what it would look like.
Hey, if you're looking for a Treo, you might want to go and check out that ad. I also saw what looked like some journalists at the CTIA goofing around creating personal ads. And I saw a couple of Cingular 8525's and even a Lear Jet! Hmmm, I don't think I need a jet.
Anyway, if you've got some extra "stuff" lying around that you want to get rid of, this might be an easy way to sell it on your Treo. So far, I've only used ebay and Amazon to sell my Palm items, but I might just check out iqzone and see what happens.
