T-Mobile GPRS gets cheaper

T-Mobile today reduced the rates on their GPRS plans, but they have a long way to go until they can match Sprint's unlimted plan.

Two seperate batches of Internet rate plans are now offered: T-Mobile Internet Add-On Plans and T-Mobile Internet Rate Plans.

T-Mobile Internet Rate Plans are data add-on plans to standard voice plans, and are ideal for Treo users. Under the new plans, 2MB costs $9.99, 10MB $19.99, and 20MB $34.99. Respective over-usage fees are $10/Mb, $5/MB, $3.50/MB.

T-Mobile Internet Rate Plans are standalone data plans (no voice service), and is recommended for users of T-Mobile Internet PC Card. 20MB costs $39.99, 50MB $59.99 and 200MB $99.99.

Come on T-Mobile - you can do better! How about unlimited GPRS for $10?

Rumors has it the official T-Mobile Treo GPRS support will be available starting 11/1.
