Handspring releases second Treo 300 update

Tue Aug 5, 2003 - 8:27 PM EDT - By Marcus Adolfsson

Handspring has released a second Treo 300 update, this time addressing automatic error acknowledgement in auto-synchronizing data applications.

From Handspring's Support Site:

Treo 300 Updater 1.0.1

The Treo 300 Updater 1.0.1 updates the CDMA radio in your Treo 300, and improves your device's performance with some minor changes:

- When using any auto-synchronizing data application (such as Business Connection from Sprint PCS), automatically acknowledges data connection error dialogs, such as Error 1102, after five seconds. This lets Treo receive phone calls even if you don't manually acknowledge such errors.

- Provides a better error handling system when attempting to send or receive data on a congested network. From 1.0.

- Improves sound quality on recipient's end. (affects a very small number of markets). From 1.0.

The Treo 300 Updater 1.0.1 is a new version of the Treo 300 Updater. It includes all improvements in version 1.0, and adds the automatic error acknowledgement described above.
