Treo600SMS available now

PDAapps released today Treo600SMS, the Treo 600 version of their popular Treo300SMS program which enabled true two way SMS on Sprint Treo's. Sprint does not have a true SMS infrastructure on their network so the Sprint Treo 300 and 600's SMS program can only receive messages. To send a message, users normally have to go through a WAP site in blazer. Treo600SMS fixes this problem through custom software; it costs $19.99.

There have been credible rumors that Sprint is almost ready to launch their full two-way sms network soon. On cell phone forums like Howard Chui's Forums people have posted dates of this occurance, but the most reliable rumor is the dialog one gets when one tries to send an SMS on a Sprint Treo 600 (see below).
