Sync & Charge System

Wed Jun 9, 2004 - 4:02 PM EDT - By Michael Ducker

Conclusion

The Sync & Charge fills a niche market: portable syncing. But as a modular system it also makes it easier to create a charging system that fits how one uses ones own Treo. Cables, no matter where you buy them are overpriced. The total cost from store.treocentral.com for the system is $36. Buying a PalmOne cable for each of the three purposes (AC charging, Car charging, and laptop syncing) would cost $56. I would prefer that both of these be under $30, but thatÂ’s just my opinion. I use my Sync & Charge cable every day. I love it. But because of its lack of a hotsync button, and its possible fragility, it is not for everyone. If you sync your Treo to a laptop I would definitely recommend this cable. If you are looking for less clutter when charging this is one way to go. But if you are at a desktop, or charging from a wall, a specialized cable will suit you better as well as lasting longer.
