Retractable Cable Charging > Conclusion
Conclusion The Sync & Charge fills a niche market: portable syncing. But as a modular system it also makes it easier to create a charging system that fits how one uses ones own Treo. Cables, no matter where you buy them are overpriced. The total cost from store.treocentral.com for the system is $36. Buying a PalmOne cable for each of the three purposes (AC charging, Car charging, and laptop syncing) would cost $56. I would prefer that both of these be under $30, but thatÂ’s just my opinion. I use my Sync & Charge cable every day. I love it. But because of its lack of a hotsync button, and its possible fragility, it is not for everyone. If you sync your Treo to a laptop I would definitely recommend this cable. If you are looking for less clutter when charging this is one way to go. But if you are at a desktop, or charging from a wall, a specialized cable will suit you better as well as lasting longer.
Pros
Cable is extremely portable
Cable is small, but extends big
Cable can charge from USB port
Wall and Car adapters small and portable
Cons
Cable is fragile (I needed a replacement unit)
No Hotsync Button on Cable
