Butler 1.62

Thu Jun 10, 2004 - 11:54 AM EDT - By Michael Ducker

Conclusion

Butler does an excellent job at providing small software tweaks that fix many annoyances that I have with the Treo. Most of the features in Butler should have been included with the Treo. The software is stable, and well documented; Every window has the i in the upper right corner with a full explanation of what each checkbox on the form does.

The only major feature missing is the ability to turn the Radio on and off at set times as to save battery life during the night, or during work. Hobbyist Software offers this in a separate $4 application, but really they should be together.

If you haven't registered the program yet, every couple of uses, Butler will pop up its own reminder to register. It never outright expires. I think that this is a fair way for a shareware developer to encourage users to buy their software without invading their device. But then again, at $6.95, everyone should be able to afford it.
