Press Release:
Bachmann Software last week launched the newest product in its growing lineup of wireless software utilities for handhelds and smartphones, Bachmann Mobile Backup. Mobile Backup gives Palm OS® handheld owners for the first time the choice of backing up their valuable handheld data to either their network or an available memory expansion card.
Mobile Backup shares and leverages the same core Windows networking capabilities that are built into Bachmanns popular FilePoint file manager, enabling fast backups of their handheld files to desktop computers and file servers over a wide variety of wireless connections including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, even wide area CDMA and GPRS smartphone connections. Full and incremental backups are supported, as are selective file backup and restore. An option to backup to an available memory expansion card is also offered for scenarios where a wireless network connection cannot be made.
Mobile Backup is yet another example of us delivering on our vision of integrating handhelds and smartphones into the office and home-based networks we use every day, said Glenn Bachmann, president and founder of Bachmann Software. We are living in an increasingly mobile world, and we felt it was time to step up and provide a backup solution that offers users the peace of mind associated with backing up their critical data to a safe, stable network location.
Bachmann Mobile Backup is priced at $29.99 USD, and is available for purchase from Bachmann Softwares website at http://www.bachmannsoftware.com.
