Toysoft, makes of Personal Audio Recorder and Lightwav, announced this week Personal Audio Recorder Pro 2.0 (PAR). The $22.95 application has many new features such as voice memo compression, better voice memo sending, the ability to set voice memos as alarms, enchanced playback capabilities, and better organization. It has these features, and all of the features of the original Personal Audio Recorder, still available for $14.95. The standard set of features includes one button recording, encryption, and the ability to save voice memo's to a SD card.

TreoCentral may remember that voice recording is a new feature to the Treo 600 that was enabled by the most recent firmware updater. Many other applications have been made for the Treo 600 to record from the microphone, such as the free SoundRec, and the $24.99 mVoice.
