Avvenu

Thu Apr 6, 2006 - 3:44 PM EDT - By Harv Laser

Conclusion

As a free service, Avvenu is child’s play to set up, easy to use, the interface is attractive and intuitive, and it’s nearly bulletproof. When fetching your files remotely with your Treo, it nicely reformats your computer’s contents for the small screen. The planned improvements (caching, more files displayed per screen, and real-time activity display from its log files) are, in my view, necessary, and they promise all of that is coming sometime this year.

Needed enhancements aside, Avvenu in its current incarnation is very cool, whether you need to get to your own files or want to share them with others, and you sure can’t beat the price of admission.
