In a Press release Palm announced that the 700wx is now available on Bell Canada. Bell Canada has the high-speed EVDO network available for the 700wx. As one might expect, executives from Palm, Bell Canada, and Microsoft Canada all sounded very happy in the news release.
Exactly one week ago Palm also announced Latin American availability of the Treo 700wx. Specifically, Mexico's Iusacell Network will be carrying the device. This was important as it is "the first availability of a Windows Mobile 5.0-based Treo smartphone in the Latin American market."
(In related news, the grinding sound you're hearing right now is Verizon executives gnashing their teeth. They may have gotten the 700w first, but it looks like they'll be getting the 700wx last.)
Palm has also announced availability of the 750v in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Not to mention the 650 in Peru.
Finally, as reported earlier by TreoCentral, Palm intends to make sure the new Treo 680 is available on 20 different carriers by June 1, 2007.
In short, it looks like Palm's well on their way to making globalizing the Treo.
Update: Add New Zealand to the list of countries getting the 700wx.
