We use Microsoft Outlook for our contact manager at work. Internal e-mail addresses for people in our office automatically appear as that person's name instead of the actual address. In other words, if I have a contact for a co-worker named Joe Blow, his e-mail address appears in Outlook as "Joe Blow" instead of [email protected].
If I go into Outlook and retype the e-mail address to actually spell out the address (i.e., [email protected]) Outlook automatically converts the address back to read "Joe Blow."
When I sync my contacts to my T600, the e-mail addresses show up as names (Joe Blow) instead of e-mail addresses. I can't send an e-mail from my T600 without the actual address.
This solution applies for Windows using the Pocket Mirror standard software that comes with the Palm Desktop software.
This how you resolve it: Click Start > Programs > PocketMirror > PocketMirror Settings.
This brings up the Chapura Settings window, double click your profile or the Settings button on the right.
This brings up the Change Synchronization Preference window. Double click the line where it says Outlook Contact. It may or may not prompt you to select your Outlook profile, if it does, make sure you select the right one and click ok. Otherwise, this brings you to the Preference Settings for Outlook Contacts (your outlook profile name here) screen.
On the line where it says, e-Mail translation, check the box and hit ok to apply changes and click ok again and close.
Good Luck
