755p compatibility with 520 |
It does not work

not loud enough |
Driving at 70MPH, I can't hear the headset over the road noise of my BMW 3 series which is a quiet car. The ATT V521 works much better.

Does not pair properly with Treo 755p |
This unit sounds fantastic and is very comfortable. Unfortunately, it regularly drops bluetooth pairing with my Treo 755p when not on a call. As it takes ~45 seconds or so to reconnect, and the phone does not realize the headset is not paired, phone calls coming in or going out during this period, get no audio, even to the phone's speaker. Plantronics needs to work on this, as their brand new Voyager 520 has the EXACT same behavior. The Discovery 665 does work fine with the Treo 755p, but it's uncomfortable. Why they can't make the Voayger series work like the Discovery series, I don't know.

The best Excelent noise reduction |
I have had the Plantronics Voyager 510 Headset for one month now. I have paired it with my computer, cellphone, Pda, and my house landline . the only problem is that it can only be paired with TWO devises at once.

I own a TREO 680, it's not compatible |
I had the Plantronic Voyager 510 paired with a Nokia phone. When I got my TREO 680 and tried to pair it full anticipation, I found that the TREO just cannot see the Voyager. What a shame, the PT is a good HS and works a treat with the NOKIA phone.

Excellent headset |
The fact that the ear bud goes in your ear is the best feature because you can actually hear the caller compared to those that just lay over the ear.

Great Sound Quality |
If the sound quality (on the other end, as well on your end) is important and you're on a semi-tight budget, then don't hesitate to buy this unit!
I'd originally bought the Plantronics Discovery 640. But because I'm writing this about the 510, I obviously didn't keep the 840.
First off, I ended up losing an earpiece before I had even finished charging the 640 for it's first call. So I finally get to make first call...
Well, I could hear my fiance really well...but she was having major problems hearing what I was saying. She kept asking "what is all the noise...speak up" (when I was in a car that was turned off with the windows all up). Needless to say, I immedeately took it back.
Bad unit?...I don't know. But I decided to give this unit (the 510) a try instead. When I called my fiance back, she told me it's the clearest she's ever heard me. She actually perferred it over me using the phone without any headset! But I believe that's because my treo's mic encountered some liquid from my little one in the past few months.
Not only that, it is very comfortable to wear too! What an added bonus. :)
The only issue is the slight chopping of the first word after some silence (as the review mentioned). But that hasn't bothered me or anyone I've talked to so far.
