650 GREAT 700 NOT SO
I had the Verizon 650 and it worked like a charm. I lost the 650 and upgraded to the 700p and I has been one problem after another. Sometimes it hangs up when I touch any button. Sometimes I have to pull the battery to resart the phone, and now the phone turns on but it will not connect with the network, it just resets. Hopefully that makes sense be because I am so mad at this phone and how hard it has made my life

Great upgrade from Cingular 650!
Verizon 700P vs. Cingular 65: - More dependable piece of hardware and higher quallity. - Much better phone coverage. - Much, much, faster data. - My only regret is that I held on to Cingular and the 650 so long.

No problems with 700P - Sprint User
It seems to me most of the NEGATIVE comments were posted by the same unhappy person. Get a life!! All the reviews warned of the small but nice differences between the 650 and 700. I feel sorry for ALL Verizon users. Read more.... I upgraded from a two year old Treo 650 to my current 700P. With rebates, I will have paid about $150. That's a GREAT price for a replacement phone + PDA!! (Consider the Palm E2 @ $180 and Palm TX @ $250 from Newegg.com) and they're not even a phone. The 700p has EV-DO which is faster than my 650. I pay $15/month to Sprint for basic PowerVision which gives me UNLIMITED internet on the EV-DO plus Handmark's Express Executive subscription (Available for $69/year if you dont have Sprint PowerVision) plus limited streaming TV. Let alone a new phone to freshen up my old tired beat up Treo650. Oh, and remember the Treo 700p has more memory too. It solved the memory heap problems of the 600?/650. In addition to all that most of my Treo650 accessories are reuseable with the 700p. It's worth every penny of an upgrade. Get this... if you're a Sprint user, I basiclly got PowerVision - the added $15/month - for FREE!!! What I'm saying is that I get unlimited FASTER internet connection using EV-DO and the freebie apps (Express and TV) for LESS THAN my old phone bill. You see Sprint offers "Corporate Discounts". Since I've never had any problems with Sprint, I have no problems signing up for another 2 years. To me its just another phone bill. If I didn't commit another 2 years with Sprint, I would have commited 2 years with another carrier with no guarantees that its better than Sprint. Anyway...back to the FREE PowerVision... I ended getting a 18% Corporate Discount. My old plan gave me 2000 minutes for $100 bucks. My new plan is 2000 minutes for $82 plus $15 for PowerVision = $97 per month. Net savings $3.00. Net gain - a refreshed NEW phone, FASTER UNLIMITED internet, I can QUIT my yearly Pocket Express subscription ($69/year savings). I'm a happy camper. So what I'm saying is if you're considering "upgrading" to the Treo 700p... - read reviews FIRST - look at you old beat up phone - consider the differences - consider your phone plan - consider the data plan too - consider corparate discounts - consider new accessories cost - compute and make your decision Please don't just compare the differences between your older Treo 600/650 to the newer Treo 700p and whine about it like the earlier ANONYMOUS posts. Consider the whole economic package. Phone + Service + Accessories. I think for most Treo 600/650 users, its worth the upgrade if you've had your phone for almost two years. Admit it, a two year old phone is "old" these days. Life's to short to be quibbling about petty things. Just do it and enjoy ;)

Very disappointed - less powerful than advertised
I have been very disappointed with the lack of service and knowledge with my Verizon 700P. I am very disappointed that my WiFi card is not supported and that the only data solution costs $49 per month. This was NOT as advertised. I keep hoping for a third party WiFi addon card. Battery life is too short. I have to keep a charger in the car, in the office, and at home. Bluetooth connectivity to my car sucks (technical term). I have to enter my password and turn my phone on in order to connect. Not very convenient. To make a phone call when driving is impossible. You really need to use the stylus when using this device. So much for hands free. One feature that I really wish this would have is the ability to not power down when connected to a charger. The phone might be able to do this, but no one has been able to help me. The only thing nice about this is that I no longer need to carry my Palm and cell phone. However as a previous Palm owner/user I am so disappointed because my expectations were obviously too high. In my opinion this is 1/2 of a great idea. Unforutnately I really need the other 1/2.

short battery life some memory problems
Verizon edition.Unworthy of an upgrade from 650, this battery dies quickly (6 hours)650 lasts days. Can't address more than 2gig SD card. Only benefit is faster web access.750 may be worse.

Great Phone - Maybe Sprint is better than Verizon?
I have been a palm addict since the visor, and am glad that they made a palm OS treo. I have Sprint and work sometimes at a large hospital wired for it, and for the most part the signal is excellent even in the building's bowels. I love being able to access the internet high speed on it. Reading some of the reviews here, I can't but think that perhaps the Verizon phones aren't as good? I love mine and wouldn't trade.

More phone than you need
While it has its quirks, the Treo 700p is probably more smart phone than you need. With an ever increasing amount of software, lots of built in programs for productivity and pleasure, and enough power and room for expansion to get you through '07 with a top-notch model, I've got to give it high rating.

Treo 700P
This is the worst phone I've ever had. I was extremely excited when I purchased it, now I hope I'm within my 30 days to return it. This is my second phone within the first week of having it and I'm constantly resetting it. I would rather have the imitation look a like from Verizon. I have a friend that has it and have no problems. I should have kept my old Nextel phones. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE.
