    Thumbs Down

    phone can't ring
I like the case, except for one MAJOR design flaw: when closed, it presses one of the volume buttons, so that you never get more than a fraction of a second worth of ring, then the phone reads the button press and goes to silent mode.

NOT protective on impact- latch opens
looks incredible- feels incredible. I thought $39 for this polycarbonate case would protect even the worst falls. Well, no. I was on some rough concrete when I kneeled down. When I got up, of course the inadequate belt clip caused the case to launch off my pants. On impact, the latch sprung open, re-launching the treo 2-3 feet into the air. Now, the polcarbonate case has ONLY 3-4 little dots where it hit- good for the case. But now my treo has a gash on the one corner from when it came back down. Skip this- unless you only work on carpet and dont go outside, or, you remove the belt clip and use it soley as a case in your briefcase.

    Simple Elegant case
What I like best is the simplicity of opening the case when it is attached to my best. With a simple flip of the latch, the case opens for me to review who is calling and answer the phone.

    Worth Getting!
The Case is fantastic, the best overall protection for your phone. The author is wrong, the treo is still useable when in the case, you just need to buy one of the bluetooth headsets. Get a headset and this case, and you'll be very happy.

    Very Good
I've had the Palm Hard Case for about a month now and it's been excellent for me. I've always been one to take care of my phone, but this case provides extra protection. I can even open it with one hand, in the car, while driving, doin' 75-95 (Haven't gotten caught yet! Whew!) I've loved this case since the first day and I believe if you want the protection, get it!

    An absolute thumbs up
I've used this case since its introduction and find it to be at the top of the heap. Protection, business look, easy to operate (at least for me), and horizontal belt design make this a winner.

    Fantastic Case
I would highly recommend this case. I have been using it for a couple of months now and I love it. One of the best Palm cases ever made, I think. It is definitely made to clip on your belt and is very easily opened with one hand when attached this way. I wear it in front rather than on the side of my belt. It stays out of the way here and is very easy to open and look at the screen this way.

    An elegant solution
Pros: The case's non-slip "soft touch" finish prevents it from sliding on surfaces (such as my leather passenger seat) and the urethane soft touch coating also resists dirt and abrasion quite well. Contrary to the review there seems little chance of scratching the Treo on the closure mechanism which has no sharp edges and seems to have a lacquer coating. Cons: The stainless steel (not "chromed") belt clip is cleverly designed to grab the case harder the more it is pulled on, but the sharp edges and lack of positive locking are a liability when used with anything other than a dress belt. Perhaps OK for a business suit in an office environment, but definitely not secure enough for any serious movement (don't try to run for a cab with this on your belt).

    Wear it on your belt
If you use this case on your belt, you can open it with a single finger nail on the closure/clip. It will pop open and your treo will rest on it's back so you can see who is calling on the screen. Then you can pick it up or use bluetooth and answer the call. Works much better on a belt. I have no problem answering calls or opening when used on a belt.
