Would you recommend Treo 750v ?

Yes   No

Thumbs Up

Great Upgrade
Another 650 to 750 convert, WM5 isn't the best O/S out there, but the overall package is terrific and worth the upgrade.

Best Treo I have ever used
From the 600 to 650 to now 750v - best Treo I have ever used. Glad I picked one up in October.

Same 240 x 240 screen
As far as I can tell same 240 x 240 screen, Memory hog windows apps, No SMS threading. Palm (old OS) supports Hi res Screen, App's use little memory, useful varity (many free to try) and don't chew up memory (Verichat)and some free (at least to try!). 312MHZ processor EVDO and very good compatibility with most office app's and internet sites. Shall I go on?

Nearly - but not nearly enough
It's probably the best phone element of all Treos so far, but Windows is horribly slow and if you really make it work, your battery won't last the day. Add to that some ridiculous operating limitations compared to Palm OS, painfully slow operation (I've watched it take 11 seconds between lighting up and telling me there's a text) the appalling waste of screen space and the irritating Windowsisms including regular crashed... the answer's no. Probably my last Treo, I'm horrified to see myself saying. I'm getting used to it now - but I never had to get used to a Palm OS Treo. They just did what I needed them to do.

Slow
Reallt disappointing to see that the new 750 is really slow to go from one calender day to the next. Then to even open up tasks and calender is at least 1-2 seconds!

Great Device
Works well, I upgraded to this from a Nokia 6680 and a PPC2003 PDA, a brilliant combination of the two types of device! Battery will last 2 full days for me without charge and good usage

Thumbs Down

Slow compared to Treo 650
Have tinkered with my friend's Treo 750v and my Treo 650 is snappier and easier to use. Videos run well and look good on mine but terrible on his.

Decent PDA/Phone
I have used it. Battery is life is fine for me. This will depend on your carrier. Better than predecessors. Windows Mobile is a pain at first but convienience shows up later esp with word, excel etc
