Great program, but too large
It boils down to whether you need a program as large as Datebk4 to keep yourself organized. It is feature rich, hence the size. I have not found it buggy at all on my Visor Deluxe. I have used ActionNames, and contrary to what some others have posted, it was buggy. In fairness, however, ActionNames manages to do much of what Datebk4 does with far less memory. As for Datebk4, if you have the memory to spare, give it a try. It is quite a good program.

Excellent
Without question the best program on my Visor.

Very friendly to people accustomed to the original Datebook
One of the design choices in Datebk4 is that a user accustomed to Datebook should be able to start using DB4 without any learning time, and be able to pick up new features conveniently and as-needed. This design has succeeded. I have to add that it's not the only possible choice; ActionNames chose to design their own UI, and although it's not familar, it's a very good interface. But there's one HUGE advantage DB4 has over AN: the developer of DB4 responds promptly and politely to user requests for help and/or changes, and DB4 is geared to allow anyone to try it out. AN only lets you try it out if the author personally approves of you.

Great App more features than you need, but it is flexible and the feautes you don't need or want don't get in the way.
I agree that 400K is a big memory price to pay but with 8MB it is worth it. If the developer of the application considered creating modules for logical groups of features the could reduce the overall size

Yes! Of Course! Certainly!
I like this program. Are there too many features? Don't know -- haven't tried them all yet. CESD has already released the first maint release and is planning another soon. He listens.

Too bugy. no chance agains actionnames
First i was happy about the new features over Datebk3, but 4 is SO unstable. crashed very often on both, my palm3x and my visor. I saw many users in newsgroups that had the same problems. i prefer actionnames. its much more stable and has all the features i need (and it looks like my good old newton :-)

Thumbs Down

VERY Powerful but too much so
A very powerful and feature rich program. Very large in file size-over 400k. For the average Palm user it is overkill.
