"Use any subwoofer"? Not likely. There are a lot of crap subwoofers on the market. Have you even listened to the BB2001? It's specifically designed by and for Altec's small docking stations like the iMT1.. How can you dis a product you haven't even heard? Do you know what "impedance mis-match" means? Sure, go ahead and buy an iMT1 and then go get your "any subwoofer" and good luck
