BrainForest Deluxe Edition from
TreoCentral Store

BrainForest Deluxe Edition by Ultrasoft Digital Media

>> Read Review (Rating 4/5) <<

Features:
  • Convenient Plan a shopping trip, a speech, a wedding. Jot down ideas. Manage projects. Juggle priorities. BrainForest is the right tool for the job.
  • Structured BrainForest displays information using an intuitive Trees, Branches, and Leaves analogy - similar to the Outline function in Microsoft Word. It groups related ideas, action items, checklists, to-dos, internet URLs, email addresses, etc.
  • Flexible Items can be rearranged by dragging them from one location to another. Trees can be copied and pasted. Data can be imported and exported.
  • Powerful Keep track of teams and projects, recurring items, due dates and priorities. Keep your projects under control.
  • Simple You don't need to be a database programmer to use BrainForest. You can start entering your data within seconds.

    Thumbs Up

    Great checklist app
I've used Codejedi Shadow since 2001, on my first PDA, the Palm Vx. But since the Treo 300, Jeff Mitchell just hasn't kept up with the hardware. On the Treo 755p, Shadow is slow and unstable. I looked at BrainForest a few months ago, but the review made me shy away, especially the part about the difficulty in promoting and demoting items. But in the current release, it's a snap. Just hold down option and use the 5-way to move an item up, down, left and right. BrainForest is simple, not bogged down by features I don't need. The one-handed operation is great. For example, to check off an item, simply hit the space bar. The new Update Items feature is critical to me, because I like to use lists as procedures, and when Im done with a procedure, I like to set all the items to not done. It would be nice if Update Items had a letter associated with it, however. Also, it would be nice if you could select all items and toggle the action detail. Overall, I love Brainforest.

    Couldn't live without it
Best outliner interface out there and at the right price. Also, has the best one handed operation.

    Thumbs Down

    I prefer ThoughtManager
Aside from the obvious drawback that the HandsHigh folks seem to have been abducted by aliens, this is still the best thought managing tool I've tried.
