I agree with the anonymous poster.
v5 does allow for per contact ringtones using MP3s, Wav, Ogg, Midi or polyphonic tones.
This app is truly excellent.
more than mentioned
I'm the author of Phone Technician, so firstly I'd like to thank Andre for his review.
I'd also like to correct a couple of points:
1) The built in mp3 player _can_ play mp3s from SD card (that is the main way it works). This is a nice way to seperate your ringtone player and your normal mp3 player so they don't interfere. It is also handy if you have an older treo that doesn't have pocket tunes built in. Phone Tech can also work with Pocket Tunes, Aeroplayer and MMPlayer if you prefer.
2) Phone Tech can give you custom ringers on a per-contact or per-category basis. It looks like Andre's version is quite a few months old, so it didn't have this feature.
Yessir! Great app
The reviewer did not mention which version was being updated. Although the review leads me to believe that it isn;t the latest and greatest since the entire topic of "MagicTones" is ignored. This, my friends, is the other reason to own this applicaiton - MP3 ringtones that get inserted intot he RingTones list on your phone and are therefore assignable to individuals or groups. Nothing else to buy.
