What will it cost?

Tue Jan 19, 2010 - 8:29 PM EST - By Annie Latham

If you are pondering making the leap to the new webOS Palms, and with the arrival of the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus, now might just be the time, there are a few things you might want to research.

1) The Network in your Area. Verizon is mighty powerful in many parts of the country these days. Sprint works well here in the Bay Area. AT&T tends to evoke grumbles in a lot of regions. So check around before making a commitment.

2) What will it Cost? Last week, both Verizon and AT&T made announcements regarding calling and data plans. Sprint and its Now Network are available at a very competitive price (starting at $69.99). But don't strain yourself trying to figure out the cost/benefits. BillShrink.com has done the legwork for you.

In case you missed it, our sister site, PreCentral.net, has posted two stories of interest:

Verizon tweaks plans, what to expect for Pre and Pixi Plus

Rumor: Pre Plus $149.99; Pixi Plus $99.99 BOGO?

One last note. Word is coming down that MotionApps will have their Classic Palm OS emulator working on the Pixi really soon.
