Graffiti Fans: Android Version Now Available...

Fri Jul 16, 2010 - 3:28 PM EDT - By Annie Latham

PalmInfocenter is reporting that Access has just released a version of the classic Palm OS Graffiti for Android OS devices.

TheGraffiti for Android app brings the original Graffiti 1 character recognition system to Google's mobile platform. It is now available as a free download in the on-device Android Market.

Graffiti was developed by Jeff Hawkins, who had previously created PalmPrint to recognize natural handwriting.

By using a simpler alphabet, computers could easily recognize handwriting. Hawkins believed that people would take the time to learn Graffiti just as people learn to touch-type.
