Treo transmission signal interferes with other telephone's transmission!
I can't speak on another telephone while the Treo is in the same room. Every few minutes it sends out a strong signal that intereferes with a regular phone's conversation. It is so loud that it would wake you up if you are in the same room! Does anyone else experience this problem?

It's been a Rock!
My, now 1.5 year old Unlocked/Unbranded Treo 650 has been a rock solid. Now replacements, no problems, no worries. I just hope the next generation of Treos is as good.

Buy a Windows Mobile device
Bought a Treo650 to run TomTom (GPS Navigation) and Goodlink (Exchange Sync). Bad idea. When navigating in TomTom incoming calls take over the phone and dump TomTom. Device can't handle Bluetooth GPS and Headset at the same time. Apps hog the data connection, so moving from Goodlink to TomTom (uses data for traffic updates) means the phone has to reset. Bought an iMate KJAM. Wicked kit. Everything works PERFECTLY!! Driving along with TomTom and bluetooth GPS, incoming call rings in headset, switch to email, back to TomTom and I'm still on curse. PERFECT!!

Persistant problems
After switching replacing my 650 3 times, I have concluded that there was nothing wrong with the hardware. The 650 has built-in design flaws that cause daily random restarts, applications vanishing, data jumbles and other problems. This phone is NOT reliable. Takes entirely too much work to keep it operating.

Love it..after a couple
First couple of units I got from Sprint crashed constantly. Third time was a charm. This one works great! Lifesaver for keeping me organized

Hard to answer and hear
I find it hard to answer, put glasses on, dig it out of pocket, (hard to do with the rubber skin I had to put on because it is slippery and flies out of your hand like a water melon pit) then you have to visualize the screen to press the right answer button on screen (almost impossible to see in day light), I carry my other cell phone that just answers when I open it up! Every time I update the software I loose all my contacts and have to re-enter them all over again. Lastly it is very bulky. Other than that it is just wonderful! It will cost $150 to cancel my contract. I am thinking of taking that hit, and get a MOTO Razor.

Worthless when using Act for Palm
After a huge investment in the Palm Treo 650 and Act for Palm I finally had to scrap the Treo as Act for Palm constantly crashed the phone. In order to get Act for Palm running again, it required a HotSync which would only last for a short time and the cycle repeated. Totally frustrated, I went back to Alltel and purchased a Motorola cell phone. A few weeks later, I decided to make another run at the Treo as a PDA only. I made a fresh re-installation of all software and Act for Palm seemed to be running very stable. I went back to Alltel and had them reinstate my cell service on the Treo. I made one call on the Treo and then attempted to launch Act and it crashed. Back to the Motorola phone. Now accepting the fact that the Treo and Act for Palm were incompatible, I purchased a Palm TX only to discover that it also crashes after transferring data to retrieve e-mail. It is now obvious that there is a serious issue when using Act for Palm on a device that will be transferring data packets. If youre a committed Act user like myself and you want to take Act to a PDA via Act for Palm, don't put it on a device that will utilized for data transmission. I hope that Sage software will make a diligent effort to resolve this issue.
