Would you recommend Treo 700w ?

Thumbs Down

Locks up
Locks up several times a day and the only way to get it back up is by performing a soft reset.

You either Hate it or Love it
I am a first time Palm user. Overall, I would have to give the phone a thumbs up. There are a few glitches, but there is more to like then dislike. I like the Windows Mobile OS, but I have to admit the IE Browser is buggy. Setting up the email was a chore, but I got it. Accessing mail via the Web-based Synch is not desirable, at all. I am pleased with the option of interfacing my PC based Outlook to synch, email, tasks, calender, etc... but I have to leave my PC on all the time, in-order for it to update. Nevertheless, I am cool with that. Setting up email is very challenging and Verizon needs to have much better documentation. The battery life is poor, but I can work around that. Despite the glitches here and there I would still recommend the Treo 700

Thumbs Down

Still needs work
Locks up at least every other day. Active synch is very buggy. Interface is accepatble. The only real plus on this phone is the excellent internet access. There is not much else that is an improvement over the 650; rather there is much that is a regression.

No way to adjust memory.
lock up problems and you must soft reset to clear the problems to often. The software viewer that comes on the CD does not work.

Thumbs Down

You went from Cross platform to single... WHY?
Why would Palm go to a single platform device? The Treo 650 allows me to have Treos for my users who are both Mac and Windows users. If I wanted a single platform device I can buy a blackberry... Very disappointing.
