Awesome Smartphone |
after trying 3 700w's I went to the 700P and love it. The broadband is lightning fast, the screen resolution is great. This phone does just about everything. I am really pleased and highly recommend it.

Excellent |
This phone is a great upgrade from the 650! The internet speed (verizon) is excellent! The keyboard setup is easier to use and the messaging all in one instead of SMS and MMS separate. Overall a good phone would recommend to upgrade

700p Is ONLY A Small Improvement! |
I have owned the 600, 650, and now the 700p. I'm VERY disappointed in the Very SMALL improvements made, with little attention to the IMPORTANT things. There have been problems since the 600, and are STILL messed up with the 700p.
The phone doesn't handle Call Mangement well. If you get more than one call while your on the phone, it doesn't allow you to "Hang Up" on only one of the calls, and if you get a another call, it gets confused with the Caller Id.
The led indicator light no longer blinks to let you know your phone is On and "Ready For Action"!
The Bluetooth transmitter is STILL 1.0, so You Can NOT use ANY of the new high tech headsets on the market, because they are all 2.0. And now apparently, headsets that work with the 650 May Not work with the 700p. So after dropping $600 plus for the phone, you got to search for and purchase a new Bluetooth Headset. And it is a REAL pain in the booty trying to find a Bluetooth Headset that you like and is compatable with the 650 or 700p!
I have Sprint, and this new EVDO, but I have only seen a slight difference in internet speed.
The only real improvement between the 650 and 700p is the memory. You can store more applications and pictures to your phone. And if you save a lot of pics, this is the ONLY thing you will really like!
Overall, it may still be the best on the market, but it could be Much Better!!

Good Upgrade from 600 |
I'm coming from a 2 year old, well-worn Treo 600 so the 700p is a great step up for me. The screen is very nice and I like the fact that the display has a reflective back so that reading it in broad daylight is much easier.
The Bluetooth seems to have a few kinks in it but is usable with my Plantronics 640. For some reason, it *always* drops the BT connection about 1 minute after ending a call and you must have the screen on to reconnect the BT. However, once it is connected, it stays connected until I end my next call. (see my post in the forums under Bluetooth).
Overall, I'm very happy with it but I'm hoping for a BT patch sometime soon.

This is a great up great ...even for an old 650 owner! |
I bought the 700p mainly for the extra memory. I found the camera features an added plus. The pTunes software was also a great upgrade. My only real bummer was the bluetooth sync with my Sony earpiece drops sometime while I am talking. I still recommend this phone highly.

Dream vs. Nightmare |
Coming from my outrageously unstable, unreliable 700w, the 700p is a godsend.
