HORRENDOUS DISPICABLE BATTERLY LIFE
8 5 minute calls. 20 texts. Checked mail 3 times... BATTERY DEAD. On average I exchange batteries THREE TIMES A DAY and I am not a HEAVY cell phone user. This is ridiculous coming from the 650 that had amazing battery life. HOWEVER EVERYTHING ELSE: color, speakerphone, phone app, ability to dial numbers on the screen, blue tooth, NO ANTENNA, BETTER KEYPAD! Cool new texting features, better mail, faster download speed, VERY EASY TO TYPE and navigate, cool layout, smaller pictures when someone calls, MUCH BETTER SPEAKERPHONE, etc. Overall a much better improvement EXCEPT for the horrible battery life. Doesn't freeze as much either.

better, faster, more reliable
better screen, better OS performance, better user interface, much better phone reception and reliablity. NO issues with the battery. Just overall a more mature device.

NO real Quality Control done before sales
I am very dissappointed with the performance of this device. Had several issues with Treo650s too, Cingular upgraded(?) me to this one. Now I have had two of these! First one kept resetting itself with only factory programs! Went through 4 Treo650s I refuse to be patient anymore and will demand my money back or switch to a completely different device! Boo on you Palm! Totally unimpressed! I really wonder though how much of this issue is cingular related? When I use the device as only a PDA I do NOT encounter problems until I turn on the phone side! But that all goes back to QC - if the developers had tested the device with a PROPER battery and its coordinating carrier MAYBE there would be a LOT happier customers and better reviews!

Phone is too brittle
This phone is very brittle. If it drops a certain way, your screen will crack or bust. And it's an out of warrenty fix.

Great device. Battery needs work
I have used a palm device for a long time now, and this is the best so far. It does everything I want it to do. It might not be the best rated, but to me. It is!!!!

Battery Life is Horrible!
Impossible to use the features of the 680 without charging it during the day. If you enjoy wearing a Bluetooth headset, browsing the web, sync email, or listening to music make sure you have your charger with you. Because you'll need it very often. Just using the phone with all the other stuff turned off sucks the battery dry. I'm returning because this isn't really a "mobile" device.

Great upgrade...
...from my buggy, relatively unreliable 650. I don't know what Mr. Whiny McLongreview was talking about, the 680 is in every way a superior product to the 650. Get a grip buddy.

Very Effective for Non-expert Smartphone buffs
After recently changing with the times and moving to a Smart Phone i have had a 650 for a little under a month and noticed several problems, after working with my retailer, i am receiving a new 680. Granted I am not a Smartphone fanitic but, I am pleased with Treo and my new 680 works great for me, e-mail, messaging and tunes. Great buy and wonderful for those of us that may be faint at heart on new high speed smartphones. Great phone, only need new stylus and keep the charger close, but after break in it is GREAT !!!!!

Well done Palm!
Beautiful screen and back lighting. As a first time user, I have picked up on how to operate this very quickly. I like the built in tutorials. No more separate phone and PDA for me anymore.
