Would you recommend Treo 680 ?

Thumbs Up

Great first smartphone
While most of you 650 users seem to complain that there are no major upgrades, for those of us who never had the 650 (or refused to buy due to that hideous nub called an antenna) it makes an excellent choice. Low cost from Cingular makes it a decent buy and I must say, in comparison to the Moto SLVR I just gave up, this thing is LIGHTYEARS ahead in terms of ease of use. I think all you folks who own the 650 should stay off these review boards until you actually own the 680, i believe that is the purpose of these sites.

Thumbs Down

No significant improvements from 650
Need 3 major upgrades/fixes to justify changing from my 650: 1. Bluetooth voicedailing. This is a fundamental feature for even "give-away" phones. Should've been fixed on models from 650 and up. Can't believe this is still missing! 2. WIFI card support. 3. EDVO.

They coulda done a lot more after 2 years
I want a revolutionary palm, not a slightly smoother one.

Thumbs Down

Small price, small featureset
I was waiting (like many others) for this debut. Guess I'll just keep waiting for the 750 and put out money for StyleTap

Thumbs Up

Good for new smartphone users
The Treo 680 may only have subtle improvements over the 650, but they're good enough to persuade to buy it as my first smartphone.

Thumbs Down

650 seems better
why would you go from a 650 to a 680??? it seems like a foolish choice!

Thumbs Up

Treo 680 is an excellent smartphone in this competitive market
Even though Treo 680 is lacking in extra bells and whistles such as WiFi and 3G speed, Treo 680 performs really well with all its fuctionality. Very responsive and easy to use. TOP MARKS!

Thumbs Down

NOT TOO DIFFERENT FROM TREO650, OTHER THAN THE FORM FACTOR
I WILL PROBABLY GO FOR TREO750V

Thumbs Down

Why only .3 MP camera?
The .3 MP camera is a killer. Otherwise, I would buy 8 for each of our service technicians! I would easily pay $100.00 more is pricing was the problem. Fire the decision maker on this one.
