Keyboard opened as a "Z" and snapped the thin hinge. |
I got this keyboard after reading the amazing review here at treocentral. Everything was great for the first two weeks, great tactile feedback and extremely comfortable.
Unfortunately, after opening one day, I noticed the keyboard unfolded into a "Z-like" formation with the two halves of the keyboard splitting at the bottom hinge. I couldn't figure it out until I found a small thin piece of black plastic, which had broken off the outer cover. This small thin piece of plastic had a peg that fit into the center bottom hinge.
The keyboard still functions, but it no longer securely closes or locks into open position properly.
Very disappointed and will see how Amazon/Palm handles this.

Works great with 680 |
Having had other palm keyboards, I was frustrated that I had to buy a new one every time I upgraded my phone. In looking at this one, I was skeptical that the BT would be reliable...but it is. Works great with the 680 and the small batteries don't really add to the weight. Highly recommend.
