They finally got it right.
This is one outstanding communication device. The Verizon support has been extremely helpful during the initial setup phase. All functions work well except the alarm is not laud enough to wake a watch dog. Third party software from Burr Oak Software, pTravelAlarm solved that problem. The pushed e-mail works great, sync is no problem and what is more the phone works well.

Have to soft reset daily!
I have had too many problems with the phone not turning on or locking up where I have to reset it almost daily or even several times daily. I have had to hard reset the phone 3 times and have only had it for a month.

Thumbs Down

Resolution went down
Resolution went down from treo 650 and also battery life is poor. Along with bugs here and there going online on net.

Great device
I love my 700. I have had no problems with it. It seems funny to me that the folks bashing the device seem to not be able to spell.

Thumbs Down

Not a good phone interface, Poor for email.
Speed aside, this isnt a good telephone interface. In a few months, there will be many DSL speed phone available. -Email: ITs built-in email has a critical flaw: It doesnt have a centralized in-box for multiple email accounts. (Snappermail for the (TREO650 / 600) does a great job of this.)Resulting in a major waste of time just to check email. So any time saved downloading at DSL speed is lost when organizing email. No critical mass of developers. THe best TREO 650 developers dont seem to interested in writing apps for the 700w.

This sucks
It is not compatible with Mac; thus, it has 3 strikes right away.

Thumbs Up

Very Good phone
This is a good phone. I have read through the reviews and all seem to fail into one of two areas. Palm users and non-palm users. All the palm users whine that they can use it one handed. This is not a deciding factor. They fact that is it more feature riched, more powerful and more compatible makes it a good buy.
