POS
I hate this phone. It is the biggest POS. Constant lockups... I have to reset it several times per day. 50% of the time i'm on a call and i get another call, i look down at the phone and it shows the same person i'm talking to is calling me on the other line. It also rings and the voice tells me who is calling, but i can't answer the phone. The screen is normal. Other times, it will ring and never stop ringing. I have to reset the phone to get it to stop ringing. Words of advice... DO NOT GET THIS PHONE..

Paper Weight Thats It!!!
This is my first PDA phone and of course I got the 700w because of the windows (I know how to use it). I am on my 3rd Treo 700w everything works except my exchange activesync, I have spent a week mon-Fri at least 3 hours a day trying to get this crappy coaster to work right. I went to verizon they worked on it couldnt get. Then sent me to microsoft they couldnt fix it. So they blame my IT department when every at my work place has 700p and they work fine. I am switching today. Treo 700w is a no gooder for me. I would be better off with a can and some string then have to deal with this unstable paper weight!!!

Be prepared to be underwhelmed!
This PDA is terrible!! Constatntly had to soft reset, drops calls, and when I am on a call and my call waiting beeps, it mutes out my current call and I have to hang up. It takes a concerted effort to turn it on (you have to press the power button twice then wait 5 seconds and push it again), this is my second one and it does all the same stuff wrong!!! Updater made it a little worse. Get the 700p!!!

The Phone is a Noise Magnet
I was considering a company funded 700w until my coworkers who have one say the phone quality is mediocre. Unfortunately I suffer as well. The phone is so sensitive it picks up background noise in airports, cars, or a noisy room. I have trouble understanding my coworkers. Is there a phone upgrade due anytime soon for the 700w? Phone quality is currently a deal killer for me.

Don't get it!
I had this phone for over 6 months now and it is horrible. The email sync using Exchange Active Sync with Exchange 2003 SP2 works great. But the phone functionality is just not there. It locks all the time, it crashes at least one a week, you call and the other party cannot hear you even though both parties have full signal strength. I would not recommend this phone at all. I am switching to the Palm version, the 700p.

Thumbs Up

crap, crap and more crap
Buggy as hell. Had the phone portion die on me completely after 3 weeks of usage. Battery over heats all the time. Even with the seido 2400mha battery life sucks. Needs a lot more ram and bug fixes need to come out on a more timely basis. Would like to see a 640x320 screen, I could live with a phone being an inch wider and about an inch, 1 1/2 inches longer to have a larger screen to make it a true useful mobile computing device. WiFi built in would be nice, two sd slots would be nice. Would love to turn the treo into a portable security / network device and connect to cisco routers and such, would be sooooo useful if they had some kits for that as well.

700w returned after 4 days
would not recommend. Crashed, and froze constantly. Exchanged it 2 times. Not including the orignal I got. After the 3rd try and the lcd screen going out. I went to the 700P and love it! I recomment the 700P hands down.

Thumbs Down

Awkward to use Active Sync terrible
Too many menus. Active Sync doesn't sync newly created files. Phone doesn't ring on a call, but shortly beeps with "missed call".
